The composition of electronic balance

Electronic balances use electronic devices to adjust electromagnetic force compensation so that objects can achieve force balance in the gravity field, or through the adjustment of electromagnetic torque, objects can achieve torque balance in the gravity field. The structure of common electronic balances is an electromechanical combination, consisting of transmission devices, measurement and compensation devices and other components. It can be divided into top-loading type and bottom-loading type.


Electronic balance composition

(1)Weighing pan

The weighing pan is mostly made of metal material and is installed on the sensor of the balance. It is the bearing device of the balance for weighing. It has a certain geometric shape and thickness, mostly round and square. Pay attention to hygiene and cleanliness during use, and do not change the weighing pan at will.

(2) Sensor

The sensor is one of the key components of the electronic balance. It consists of a housing, magnets, pole pieces and coils. It is installed under the weighing pan and has high accuracy and sensitivity. The weighing room of the balance should be kept clean, and items should not be spilled during weighing to affect the normal operation of the sensor.

(3) Position detector The position detector is composed of a highly sensitive far-infrared luminescent tube and a symmetrical photosensitive cell. Its function is to convert the load on the weighing pan into an electrical signal output.

(4) PID regulator The function of the PID (proportional, integral, differential) regulator is to ensure that the sensor works quickly and stably.

(5)Power amplifier

Its function is to amplify weak signals to ensure the accuracy and working requirements of the balance.

(6) Low pass filter

Its function is to eliminate interference from high-frequency signals generated by the outside world and certain electrical components to ensure that the output of the sensor is a constant DC voltage.

(7) Analog-to-digital (A/D) converter has the advantage of high conversion accuracy, easy automatic zero adjustment, can effectively eliminate interference, and convert input signals into digital signals.


This component can be said to be a key component of the electronic balance. It is the data processing component of the electronic balance, which has functions such as memory, calculation and table lookup.


There are basically two types of displays today: one is a digital tube display; the other is an LCD display. Their function is to display the output digital signal on the display screen.

(10) Shell

Its function is to protect the electronic balance from dust and other substances, and it is also the base of electronic components.

(11) Bottom feet

The supporting part of the electronic balance is also the level adjustment part of the electronic balance. Generally, the two feet at the back are used to adjust the level of the balance.
